Leia Klein
General Manager
Leia Klein brings over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with a true passion for quality, hospitality, and people. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for both guests and team members while maintaining high standards of service and excellence.
Outside of work, Leia is a devoted wife and mother who values spending quality time with her family.
Chrissy Palmer
Assistant General Manager
Chrissy has been a valued member of the Alessi’s family since May 1984, beginning in counter sales while attending Florida Southern College, where she earned her degree in Business Management in 1987. For more than four decades, she has played an important role in Alessi’s presence at Florida’s fairs and festivals, sharing her knowledge and experience while mentoring the next generation of the Alessi family. Born in Hialeah and raised in upstate New York, Chrissy returned to Florida in 1982 and has proudly called Tampa home ever since.
Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and spending time caring for her family, continuing a family tradition that includes her mother’s many years with Alessi’s
Jazmine Figueroa
Catering Manager
Jazmine has been part of the Alessi family since 2024 and brings a genuine passion for people, creativity, and making every celebration special. With a degree in Psychology, she loves meeting all kinds of personalities and getting to know what makes each customer and event unique.
One of her favorite parts of catering is taking what someone imagines for their celebration and helping bring it to life. Whether it’s a small gathering or a large event, Jazmine enjoys being involved in the details and making sure everything comes together just the way her customers envision it.
Jazmine takes pride in being dedicated, hardworking, and always looking for ways to improve. She truly values customer feedback—good, bad, or somewhere in between—because she believes listening to customers is one of the best ways to grow and provide an even better experience.
What she loves most about Alessi is the family atmosphere. The company’s appreciation for longtime employees, recognition of hard work, and genuine care for its team are a big part of what makes Alessi feel like home. For Jazmine, when you work alongside people you love and care about, the hard work becomes a little easier—and a lot more meaningful.
Jason Alessi
Bakery Lead
I was born on September 24, 1980, to Phil and Drew Alessi. I grew up in a house directly across the street from our family’s business, Alessi Bakery. The bakery became a second home for me almost right away, and our employees became a second family. As a child, I spent a lot of time watching TV in my dad’s office while also helping to prepare trays of cookies and other pastries in our production area.
I began working behind the counter at the bakery shortly after graduating from high school. Over the years, I have come to love working with the public and forming great relationships with so many of our customers. I’ve also developed wonderful friendships with our employees, both new and longtime team members. This is the only job I’ve ever had, and I absolutely love it!
Outside of the bakery, I have a strong interest in sports and films. I have been a co-host on a local sports talk show for 24 years. Football is my favorite sport, and I’m a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. I also enjoy watching movies from all genres and decades. Horror films are my favorites and have held a special place in my heart since childhood.
Marleny Camba
Bakery & Customer Service Manager
Marleny moved to Tampa in 2006 to attend the University of South Florida and joined Alessi’s in 2009 as a cashier. She quickly grew within the company, becoming a shift lead and closing manager.
After taking time away to focus on her family and education, Marleny earned her degree in Business Management and Organizational Leadership and returned to Alessi’s in 2019. She plans to pursue her MBA later this year.
Outside of work, Marleny enjoys running along the Tampa Riverwalk and exploring local farms with her two daughters and boyfriend. She is proud to be part of the Alessi’s team and contribute to a company built on family, history, and tradition.
