Melissa Thoele
Cake Designer
For more than 25 years, Melissa Thoele has been creating beautifully handcrafted cakes and confections at Alessi Bakeries, backed by over 30 years of experience specializing in vintage buttercream designs and decorating techniques.
Melissa joined Alessi Bakeries in 2000, where her creations have become part of hundreds of weddings, celebrations and special events throughout the Tampa Bay area. Her work has been showcased at numerous Tampa charity events as well as on national radio and television. Her designs have also been ordered by production teams for celebrity events featuring names such as George Steinbrenner, Jon Bon Jovi, Roger Waters, Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift.
Known for her artistry with vintage buttercream piping, palette flowers, hand-painted techniques and custom color blending, Melissa enjoys creating designs that coordinate beautifully with each client's event. She especially loves working with clients who give her the creative freedom to develop a truly original cake.
From timeless vintage buttercream designs to modern, artistic creations, Melissa brings decades of experience, craftsmanship and attention to detail to every cake she creates.
